Job Type: Equity Research Intern
Location: Chaoyang Beijing, China
Duration: 2 months (Summer)
Job Description:
We are seeking several talented and motivated Equity Research Interns to join our team in Beijing. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced portfolio managers and entrepreneurs from Columbia Business School, gaining exposure to equity research and value-driven investing in a real-world setting.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on assigned companies and industries, using various financial and market data sources, as well as on-the-ground primary research
Analyze financial statements and other data to develop financial models and projections
Assist in writing research reports and investment recommendations
Attend meetings with portfolio manager and head of research
Collaborate with the team to support portfolio management and investment decision-making
Help maintain databases and other research resources
Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a top university in China or the U.S., prior education in finance, economics, and accounting is not strictly required but is highly preferred
Business, technology sensitivity, and entrepreneurial spirit
Available to work for two months over the summer, 4 days a week at least
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a solid understanding of financial statements and financial modeling techniques
Familiarity with Wind, Bloomberg, FactSet, or other financial data platforms preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Strong work ethic and a desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Basic salary and meal stipend will be provided
